Thanks again for all input; a really interesting day that progressed us quite a lot.

General themes that ran through the day...

Clarification of e-portfolio as a term focusing upon the services that allow the learner to present information for various purposes. This includes, but is not exclusive to, transition and (diagnostic, formative and summative) assessment. We agreed to also develop ideas of how functions that are often provided by e-portfolio software can contribute to a personal learning space or environment.

Work based learning and skills for employability are generally under-represented in consideration of e-portfolio functions and services. We thought that the Leitch idea of a Skills Health check had potential to help create the 'pull' factor identified by Ripley and Three Square in their reports.

We continue to emphasise the early wins that successful implementation of e-portfolio functions to support the 14-19 Diploma would produce, and the test bed it will provide for the data systems underpinning them.
